Blood Drives
Our sincere thanks to everyone who has
called about hosting a blood drive for
the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. We
will try our very best to accommodate
all requests. If you would like to
donate right away, please feel free to
come to our blood drawing center at 681
Main Street in Placerville.
There are different types of blood
drives to suit different sizes of groups
or businesses. Some require no
volunteers, while others offer several
volunteer opportunities, such as blood
drive chairperson, recruitment co-chair
and publicity co-chair.
Sponsoring a blood drive is such a
rewarding experience!
For more information about scheduling a
blood drive, please contact Jennifer

Type of Blood Drive |
Size of Group |
Volunteers Needed? |
|
Mobile (on-site) Blood Drive |
The largest of our blood
drives, it can accommodate
50 to 250 blood donors. This
size drive is used for
communities, large churches,
schools or large businesses. |
Volunteers are needed to
help escort donors to the
canteen for refreshments
after their donation, to
greet donors as they arrive,
and other supporting roles. |
|
Mini-drive |
This blood drive is perfect
for small businesses and
social groups. It can
accommodate 15 to 20 blood
donors and a small space
inside is required. |
Volunteers are needed for
the same duties as with a
Mobile Blood Drive, however,
not as many. |
|
Center Blood Drive |
This is an organized effort
to bring five or more donors
from a church, business or
other group to our Main
Street location. |
Volunteers are coordinated
through the Blood Center.
Please contact Grace Petrini
at (530)
306-3927
if you'd like to volunteer
at our Main Street location. |
